Wisdom2Action Events

Wisdom2Action events are being held in communities across Canada. These events bring together academics, policy makers, service providers, youth leaders, and others who are passionate about improving the mental health and well-being of at-risk children and youth.

The goal of the Wisdom2Action series has been to share case studies of local practices that show promise of improving children’s wellbeing, and to spark conversations about how participants can adapt programs with a more academic evidence base. These workshops strengthen regional networks of community-based service providers and engage these networks in knowledge mobilization activities. For many participants, Wisdom2Action is their first encounter with knowledge mobilization theory or practice.

Using this model of community workshops, the CYCC Network is able to respond rapidly to youth issues of regional and national concern. Read our Wisdom2Action Calgary report to learn how this event focused on the theme of youth radicalization and brought together Muslim religious leaders, activists, and community members from across Canada.

You can learn more about the Wisdom2Action event series and methodology in our Wisdom2Action Brochure and in this Brief Report featured in the International Journal of Child and Adolescent Resilience.
